Whether it’s a gear question or a class curriculum question, check the following and see if the answer is here

Q: Do I need my own gun?

A: Pistols, shotguns, and carbines as well as support gear are all available to loan for a nominal fee.

Q: Who can be a student?

A: We will not train a Prohibited Person who is not legally permitted to posses a firearm. Participants in live fire training must be 18 years of age unless accompanied by a parent who is also training. Students under 16 are generally not permitted but exceptions may be made on a case by case basis.

Q: Why no SERPA?

A: For everything the SERPA holster offers, there are substantially better options. We’d prefer that none of our students used them. However Law Enforcement Officers may use any equipment issued to them by their department.

Q: Can I use an Appendix Inside the Waistband (AIWB) holster?

A: We recommend a strong side Outside the Waistband holster for range use. AIWB holsters are permitted pending a demonstration of safe usage.

Q: What are your safety protocols?

A: We will arrive with and discuss an Emergency Plan prior to any and all live fire training sessions at any location.

Q: What do I bring to a range session?

A: Generally you will need: Note taking material, firearm, ammunition, eye protection, hearing protection, a quality holster, and a willingness to learn. Prior to your range session, we will discuss any other equipment necessary based on your specific needs.

Q: Should I bring targets?

A: We provide targets and target stands.

Q: What do I wear?

A: Weather appropriate clothing that might get dirty, think back to what Mom called “Play Clothes.” Sturdy shoes, no flip flops or sandals. No low cut shirts, because hot brass is uncomfortable inside your shirt. A baseball cap is recommended.

Q: I’m pregnant…

A: We’d ask that you schedule your range sessions after the baby comes.
